30 Sep How To Move Your Plants
It is recommended to put the plant in the car
with you where the temperature can be controlled.
If your plants are in ceramic planters, it’s recommended to move them to plastic temporary planters a few weeks before moving. These are much lighter when filled with dirt, and allow you to then pad and wrap your ceramic planters for safe transportation.
A move can be a very traumatic thing for a plant. It is important to ensure the plant has adequate time to get used to the plastic container well before moving day. Plants need to remain in a temperature-controlled environment, putting them in the back of a hot moving truck is not a good idea.
