5. Pack your medicines and liquids in leak proof containers

Refrain from buying liquid items before moving day to prevent moving a large amount of liquids. Use up as many of the liquids as you can before moving day, throw or give them away if possible.   It will likely be less expensive to buy it new than to pay to have the movers transport to the new home.
